What is the Webkinz Pet of the Month?

Each month, a different type of Webkinz Pet is chosen to be the Webkinz Pet of the Month.  Users who "adopt" this type of Webkinz Pet by entering the secret code at Webkinz.com will receive special gifts and privileges.  For example, when you finish adopting your Pet of the Month, and you go to your pet's room, you will receive a Loot Bag. Click on the Loot Bag and it will open to reveal your prizes! You will receive: a randomly selected Pet of the Month Item not available anywhere else, one of the latest special recipe foods, a W-Shop Coupon to use however you'd like, and between 500 and 1000 in extra KinzCash! Furthermore, throughout the month, Pet of the Month owners will have the opportunity to participate in special games and contests not available to other pet owners.

Important Information and Advice:

1. Pets must be adopted during the Pet of the Month period to receive the online special gifts and privileges.  Example: If you want to adopt the Pet of the Month for April, you must adopt it between April 1st and April 30th in order to receive the special gifts and privileges.  If you adopt the Pet of the Month for April on March 31st or on May 1st, you will not receive the Pet of the Month gifts and privileges.
2. In order to receive the Pet of the Month gifts and privileges, you must adopt the specified Webkinz Pet, not the Lil'Kinz version or a smiliar pet.  Example: If the Pet of the Month is the Webkinz Google, then you must adopt the Webkinz Google (the white Google) in order to receive the Pet of the Month prizes.  If you adopt the Lil'Kinz Google, or the Blue Google, then you will not receive the prizes.
